What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Another Day In Orange respects your privacy and we will only use your information in the way we describe in this notice. When using your information, we aim to be fair and transparent, and to follow our obligations under UK data protection laws. Your information is used for administering club membership, activities and competitions.
Collecting your information
We collect your information when you fill in an entry form. You can give us your information using paper forms or online forms.
The information you give us may include your contact details (name, address, telephone number, email address), personal information and identifiers (date of birth, membership numbers, competition licence number), and other information (vehicle details and championship registration).
When you give us information about another person(s), such as a child, parent, guardian, or emergency contact you should let that person know that you have given us the information. Information is also defined to included images and data collected via CCTV and event cameras which are covered under our CCTV Policy available elsewhere on this website.
If you are under 18 years old, we will also ask for information from your parent or guardian.
Using your information
We will use your information when you enter our events. We will publish some of your information in the programme and the results, which will be in the public domain. Your information is used in these ways to fulfil our contract with you.
This information is not sold, donated or given to any other organisation of person(s) for any purpose other than to meet with our legal obligations to organisations such as the Motorsports UK, Land Agents and Managers or similar.
We may ask you for emergency contact and next of kin details which we will only use in an emergency, and which is use for a legitimate interest. You should let the contact and next of kin know that you have given this information to us.
We might use your information to send you marketing messages by email regarding subsequent events, but only if you have agreed that we can do this by giving us your clear consent – and you can change your mind at any time just by letting us know. We will not sell your information to any other organisation.
All you have the right to question us regarding the use of any information recorded and to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner if appropriate.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Analytics
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Comments and submissions may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Register an interest data will be shared with the Chief Marshal and other event officials for event management purposes.
Sign on Lists will be sent to Motorsport UK via the Club / Chief Marshal managing the event.
Contact details may be be used for NHS Covid Track and Trace system if required.
Mailing list opt in is managed by Another day in Orange, and will only be used for future event notifications.
